Secretary Rafael Hui has rejected recommendations by a Legislative Council
subcommittee on the West Kowloon cultural district project, saying they
"deviated substantially" from the government's original concept.
Housing
Department closely monitors contractor's performance

The
Housing Department would continue to closely monitor and review the
performance of the contractor for three public housing construction
sites, the Deputy Director for Housing (Development and Construction),
Ms Ada Fung, said today (January 3).
AWE
opening
The
much anticipated AsiaWorld-Expo (AWE), Hong Kong’s largest exhibition
and event complex, officially opened on 21 December 2005. This marked
another milestone in the development of SkyCity on the airport island.

Hong Kong Government, 20 December
The
Buildings Department approved 25 building plans in November - 11 on
Hong Kong Island, 11 in Kowloon and 3 in the New Territories.
