It has really been a big week for construction industry research.

The Business Environmental Council (BEC) and Hong Kong Polytechnic University (HKPU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Construction Industry Research and Information Association (CIRIA) of the United Kingdom (UK).

The Construction Industry Institute of Hong Kong (CII-HK) held an editorial board meeting and formed an on-line publications panel (OPP) to disseminate research information.

The Provisional Construction Industry Co-ordination Board (PCICB) announced a seminar on construction research and development (R&D) in conjunction with the Inter-university Task Force (ITF).

BEC, HKPU, CIRIA UK MOU’d. PCICB, ITF, CII-HK, ECI, HKU, CityU R&D’d OPP. And to quote the Invest HK guy “they will probably all shop at FCUK’d”.

Seriously though, the informative websites are:

CIRIA - www.ciria.org.uk
CII-HK - www.ciihk.org.hk
BEC - www.bec.org.hk

Membership of CII-HK brings attractive benefits including seriously discounted prices for construction industry specific publications and research reports.
