New Cargo Terminal "coming soon"…

Jokes aside this week, for some real construction news

'Cathay Pacific Services Ltd', is finally handed the 10 hectare site by the Airport Authority of Hong Kong, to design, construct and operate a new air cargo terminal at Hong Kong International Airport. Cathay Pacific will invest a total development cost of approximately HK$4.8 billion into the new terminal which will have a designed annual air cargo throughput capacity of 2.6 million tonnes. The attached pictures were taken on the big day, with Ian Hunt (CX - Project Manager), Jeremy Stowe (Meinhardt Lead Consultant - Projects Director) and other Airport Authority Officials

Planning appointments attacked as cosmetic

Six new faces have been appointed to the Town Planning Board, which reviews town plans and zoning policies for the development of the city. A critic of planning policy called the changes a "cosmetic reshuffle".
