A man was crushed to death by a runaway air compressor yesterday after a desperate attempt to outrun it as it hurtled down a ramp in Ho Man Tin.

A runaway three-tonne air compressor crushed and killed a 28-year-old worker at a slope maintenance site near the Mong Kok East Rail station yesterday.
