1. Construction Industry Council will meet tomorrow

The following is issued on behalf of the Construction Industry Council:
The Construction Industry Council (CIC) will meet tomorrow (March 21) at 2.30pm in Room 1201, 12/F., Murray Building , Garden Road , Central, Hong Kong .
The agenda items include:
(i) Issues in connection with establishment of CIC:
(a) Funding arrangements for establishing CIC,
(b) Amalgamation of CIC and the Construction Industry Training Authority;
(ii) Major areas of concerns of the six CIC Committees;
(iii) Construction workers registration – background, latest progress and proposed implementation programme;
(iv) CIC Committees – election of chairmen and membership; and
(v) Executive search agency for Executive Director – latest position.
The public are welcome to observe the proceedings of the meeting. Due to physical constraints of the venue, seats will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
The discussion on the last two items will not be open to the public in view of privacy and commercial sensitivity.
