Draft Kowloon Tong Outline Zoning Plan amended
1. Approved So Kwun Wat Outline Zoning Plan amended The
Town Planning Board (the Board) today (April 12) announced amendments to the approved
So Kwun Wat Outline Zoning Plan (OZP). The amendments include the rezoning of
a site in Siu Lam to the north of Tuen Mun Road and to the west of Siu Lam Hospital
from "Comprehensive Development Area" (CDA) to "Residential (Group
B) 1". There is also an adjustment of the boundary of the "Residential
(Group C) 1" zone to the west of the "CDA" site in Siu Lam to include
a small piece of land zoned "Green Belt" ("GB"). A strip of
land between Tuen Mun Road and Castle Peak Road in the southern part of the Planning
Scheme Area is included and zoned "GB". Technical amendments to the
Notes of the OZP mainly involve the incorporation of the Notes for "Residential
(Group B)" zone, the deletion of the maximum site coverage restriction for
the "Residential (Group C)1" zone and the relaxation of the maximum
site coverage restriction for the "Residential (Group C) 2" zone from
15 per cent to 40 per cent, the revision to the Notes for the "CDA"
zone and the addition of 'Social Welfare Facility' use under Column 2 of the Notes
for the "Green Belt" zone. The draft Plan No. S/TM-SKW/6 incorporating
the amendments is now available for public inspection until June 12, 2002 at the
Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, Tuen Mun & Yuen Long District Planning
Office, Tuen Mun District Office and Tuen Mun Rural Committee. Any person affected
by the amendments may submit a written objection to the Secretary of the Town
Planning Board, 15th Floor, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, on
or before June 12, 2002. Copies of the draft plan are available for sale at the

Draft Kowloon Tong Outline Zoning Plan amended
The Town Planning Board (the Board) today (April 12) announced amendments to the
draft Kowloon Tong Outline Zoning Plan (OZP). Amendments have been made to the
Notes of the OZP for the "Residential (Group C)" zone to incorporate
a "minor relaxation clause" in relation to the building height restriction
for the "Residential (Group C) 1" zone to allow application for one
storey of basement which is constructed or intended for use as car park and/or
ancillary plant room. A "minor relaxation clause" in relation to the
building height restrictions is also incorporated for the "Residential (Group
C) 5", "Residential (Group C) 6" and "Residential (Group C)
7" zones to allow design flexibility. The draft Plan No. S/K18/8 incorporating
the amendments is now available for public inspection until May 3, 2002 at the
Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Kowloon District Planning Office and
the Kowloon City District Office. Any person affected by the amendments may submit
a written objection to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board, 15th Floor, North
Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, on or before May 3, 2002. Copies of the
