1 Land resumption for building schools in Tuen Mun

The Government will resume 11 private agricultural lots and one private building lot with a total area of about 1,032 square metres in So Kwun Wat to make way for the construction of two primary schools.
A notice for the land resumption was published in the Gazette today (April 11).
The project is scheduled to begin in November 2008 for completion in the third quarter of 2011.
2 Amendments to draft Tsuen Wan Outline Zoning Plan

The Town Planning Board today (April 11) announced amendments to the draft Tsuen Wan Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendments mainly involve the rezoning of TWTL 398 occupied by Vision City from "Comprehensive Development Area"("CDA") and an area shown as 'Road' to "Residential (Group A) 12" ("R(A)12"), two strips of Government land adjoining TWTL 398 from "CDA" to an area shown as 'Road', Luen Yan Street Cooked Food Hawker Bazaar and the adjoining Government land from "R(A)" to "Government, Institution or Community"("G/IC"), as well as Luen Yan Street, Kwu Hang Road and Kwan Mun Hau Street from "R(A)", "R(A)10", "Industrial"("I") and "G/IC" to an area shown as 'Road'.
The Notes for the "R(A)" zone have been revised to incorporate the Notes of the new "R(A)12" sub-zone. In addition, the Notes have been amended in accordance with the refinements to the revised Master Schedule of Notes to Statutory Plans endorsed by the board.
The draft Tsuen Wan OZP No. S/TW/25, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during normal office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Tsuen Wan and West Kowloon District Planning Office, the Tsuen Wan District Office and the Tsuen Wan Rural Committee.
Any person affected by the amendments can submit a written objection to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board by May 2, 2008.
