1. Site in West Kowloon triggered for auction on June 12

The Lands Department announced today (May 4) that a site at Hoi Fai Road in West Kowloon Reclamation Area, Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11146, had been successfully triggered for sale under the Application List System.
The lot will be offered for sale at this financial year's third Government land auction on June 12 at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre, Tsim Sha Tsui.
A Lands Department spokesman said the Government had accepted the applicant's minimum guaranteed bid of $4.2 billion for the lot. This will be the opening bid at the auction subject to the reserve price of the lot.
Kowloon Inland Lot No. 11146 has a site area of about 11,353 square metres and is designated for non-industrial (excluding hotel, cinema, petrol filling station and godown) purposes. A minimum gross floor area of 51,088 square metres must be completed.
The final Conditions of Sale for the lot will be available for distribution and uploaded onto the Lands Department's website ( http://www.landsd.gov.hk ) by May 25, 2007 when the particulars of the land auction will also be gazetted.
2. Approved Tai Mong Tsai and Tsam Chuk Wan Outline Zoning Plan amended

The Town Planning Board today (May 4) announced amendments to the approved Tai Mong Tsai and Tsam Chuk Wan Outline Zoning Plan (OZP).
The amendment involves rezoning an area at Pak Tam from "Green Belt" to "Government, Institution or Community (1)".
Amendments have also been made to the Notes of the Plan. They include incorporation of the Notes for the "Government, Institution or Community (1)" zone; revision to the definition of "existing building" in the covering Notes; and refinement to the Remarks of the Notes for the "Green Belt", "Conservation Area", "Coastal Protection Area" and "Coastal Protection Area (1)" zones to clearly reflect the intended control on filling of land, filling of pond and excavation of land.
The draft Tai Mong Tsai and Tsam Chuk Wan OZP No. S/SK-TMT/3, incorporating the amendments, is now available for public inspection during office hours at the Secretariat of the Town Planning Board, the Planning Enquiry Counters in North Point and Sha Tin, the Sai Kung and Islands District Planning Office, the Sai Kung District Office, and the Sai Kung Rural Committee.
Any person can make written representation in respect of the amendments to the Secretary of the Town Planning Board on or before July 4. Representations made to the Town Planning Board will be made available for public inspection.
Copies of the draft plan are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plan can be viewed at the Town Planning Board's website at http://www.info.gov.hk/tpb/ .
3. Reconstruction and improvement works of Tuen Mun Road gazetted

The Government published in the Gazette today (May 4) the proposed reconstruction and improvement works of Tuen Mun Road .
The proposed works include widening of sections of the existing at-grade carriageways and vehicular bridges to current expressway standard; re-provision and modification of the existing footbridges; improvement of the merging / diverging arrangement; replacement of the existing road restraint system with new types of parapets and roadside barriers; and installation of cantilever/vertical noise barriers and semi-noise enclosures.
The construction work is scheduled to start in early 2008 and will take about five years to complete. These improvement works when completed will improve the overall operation of Tuen Mun Road .
The plans and scheme are available for public inspection at the following places during office hours:
(i) Central and Western District Office, Public Enquiry Service Centre, Unit 5, Ground Floor, The Center, 99 Queen's Road Central, Hong Kong;
(ii) Tsuen Wan District Office, 1/F, Tsuen Wan Station Multi-Storey Carpark Building, 174-208 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan;
(iii) Tuen Mun District Office, 2/F, Tuen Mun Government Offices, 1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun;
(iv) Yuen Long District Office, Yuen Long District Office Building, 269 Castle Peak Road, Yuen Long;
(v) District Lands Office, Tsuen Wan and Kwai Tsing, 10/F, Tsuen Wan Station Multi-Storey Carpark Building, 174-208 Castle Peak Road, Tsuen Wan; and
(vi) District Lands Office, Tuen Mun, 6/F, Tuen Mun Government Offices, 1 Tuen Hi Road, Tuen Mun.
People who wish to object to the proposed works should write to the Secretary for the Environment, Transport and Works, 16/F, Murray Building , Garden Road , Hong Kong , before July 3, 2007.
