The Government has told developers to provide price lists and other sales information to buyers of uncompleted residential flats sold through internal sales. The information - also including saleable area, gross floor area, disposition and layout plans, fittings and finishes - would comply with guidelines issued by the Real Estate Developers Association. This kind of information was previously omitted by developers using internal sales to sell flats. The Housing Bureau's Committee on Sales Descriptions of Uncompleted Residential Properties has proposed that the new arrangement take effect from December 1 for all unfinished projects. The committee is chaired by Deputy Secretary of Housing Elaine Chung Lai-kwok, who said all developers were expected to comply with the requirements in an effort to protect flat purchasers and give them access to accurate sales information.
