Following is the transcript of a media session by the Financial Secretary, Mr Henry Tang, after attending the Ocean Park Redevelopment Groundbreaking Ceremony today (November 23) (English portion):
Financial Secretary: I am very happy today on the ground-breaking ceremony for the redevelopment of Ocean Park, and secondly, Ocean Park is 30 years old come January. It has been a successful 30 years and we are looking forward to an even more successful next 30 years. It has provided both Hong Kong and all our visitors with fun and happiness and we all grew up with it. It is something which my children, myself, my parents, everyone enjoyed very much.
Reporter: Many people have asked for a South Island line for Ocean Park . What's your opinion on that?
Financial Secretary: I hear the voice of the community that there should be a southern link to Ocean Park and beyond. We are studying it very extensively and we hope we will have an answer very soon.
