1. 18 draft Outline Zoning Plans amended

The Town Planning Board today (December 9) announced amendments to 18 draft Outline Zoning Plans (OZPs).

The amendments involve revision to the covering Notes of three OZPs, including the draft Tsz Wan Shan, Diamond Hill and San Po Kong, Kwun Tong (South) and Sai Kung Town OZPs, to clarify the planning intention with respect to “existing use” in the urban and new town context.

Revision is also made to the definition of “existing building” in the covering Notes of the 18 OZPs by deleting the reference to “and any other Government requirements, as may be applicable”.

The planning intention in the Notes for the “Open Space” zone on the draft Nam Sang Wai OZP is refined to clearly set out that the space for recreational uses in this zone is public space.

Refinements are made to the Remarks of the Notes of three OZPs, including the draft Clear Water Bay Peninsula North, Sai Kung Town and Nam Sang Wai OZPs, for the zones with the control relating to diversion of streams, filling of land/pond or excavation of land to clearly reflect the intended control.

The 18 draft OZPs incorporating the amendments are now available for public inspection during normal office hours at the Secretariat of the Board, 15/F, North Point Government Offices, 333 Java Road, North Point; the Planning Enquiry Counters and the relevant District Planning Offices of the Planning Department, District Offices and/or Rural Committees.

Anyone affected by the amendments may submit a written objection to the secretary of the board on or before December 30, 2005.

Copies of the draft OZPs are available for sale at the Map Publications Centres in North Point and Yau Ma Tei. The electronic version of the plans can be seen on the Board's website at www.info.gov.hk/tpb.
