1. Buildings plans approved in November
Hong Kong Government, 20 December
The
Buildings Department approved 25 building plans in November - 11
on Hong Kong Island, 11 in Kowloon and 3 in the New Territories.
Of
the approved plans, eight were for apartment and apartment/commercial
developments, six were for commercial developments, two were for
factory and industrial developments, and nine were for community
services developments.
In
the same month, consent was given for work to start on 18 building
projects that, when completed, will provide 251,925 square metres
of gross floor area for domestic use, involving 2,701 units, and
265,183 square metres of gross floor area for non-domestic use.
The department has received notification of commencement of work
for 12 building projects.
The
department also issued 10 occupation permits - one on Hong Kong
Island, five in Kowloon and four in the New Territories.
Of
the buildings certified for occupation, the gross floor areas for
domestic use were 2,704 square metres, involving 48 units, and 49,279
square metres for non-domestic use.
The
declared cost of the new buildings completed in November totalled
about $571 million.
In
addition, seven demolition consents involving seven building structures
were issued.
The
department received 2,447 complaints against unauthorised building
works in November, and issued 2,436 removal orders on unauthorised
works.
